The Decatur County Leadership Academy is a 7-month program designed to develop, accelerate, and empower emerging leaders in Decatur County. Participants gain hands-on leadership skills through day-long monthly classes, business tours, guest speakers, and collaborative projects. The program prepares graduates to lead effectively in their workplaces and communities while building strong local connections.

Timeline and Commitment
Each year, the Decatur County Leader Academy will select 8-10 Decatur County residents to participate in our 7-month leadership program. Each day-long class (8 am – 4 pm) will be held on the second Thursday of September – March at Ted’s RV Park in Decatur. Participants are allowed 1 excused absence.

Graduating the Program
After completing the 7-month course, participants will graduate the program and be ready to serve and “lead” their community in a positive way. Participants will also receive a certificate of completion.
